What does this code mean?
Severity : MediumP0369 reports an intermittent signal on the circuit of camshaft position sensor "B", bank 1. This sensor tells the control module where the camshaft is so injection and ignition can be synchronised. Signal dropouts can cause misfires, stalling or hard starting.
Symptoms
- Check engine light on.
- Long or hard starting.
- Intermittent stalling.
- Jerking or loss of power.
Possible causes
- Loose or corroded sensor connector.
- Damaged or chafed wiring, or wiring near a heat source.
- Faulty camshaft position sensor.
- Damaged or dirty camshaft reluctor.
- Timing out of alignment, less commonly.
Diagnosis and repair
- Inspect the connector and wiring while wiggling them with the engine running.
- Measure sensor supply, ground and signal.
- Check the signal with an oscilloscope if possible.
- Replace the sensor if the signal is unstable.
- Clear the code and road test.
