PPowertrainShift Solenoid C Performance/Stuck Off
What does this code mean?
Severity : HighP0761 means automatic transmission shift solenoid "C" is not performing as expected or is stuck off. The control module compares the gear actually engaged with the gear requested using input and output speeds. A fault in this solenoid often causes abnormal shifts or limp mode.
Symptoms
- Check engine or transmission warning light on.
- Harsh, delayed or missing gear changes.
- Gearbox stuck in one gear.
- Higher fuel consumption.

- Low or degraded transmission fluid.
- Sticking or faulty shift solenoid C.
