What does this code mean?
Severity : MediumP2176 means the electronic throttle idle position has not been learned. The control module must store the throttle reference position to control idle speed correctly. This code often appears after a battery disconnect, throttle body cleaning or part replacement without running the relearn procedure.
Symptoms
- Check engine light on.
- Unstable, high or low idle.
- Stalling at stop or when decelerating.
- Possible limp mode with reduced throttle response.
