What does this code mean?
Severity : HighU0402 means the engine control module (or another module) is receiving invalid data from the transmission control module. Messages arrive on the network, but their content is implausible or out of range. The engine and transmission can no longer coordinate properly, which may trigger limp mode.
Symptoms
- Check engine or transmission light on.
- Harsh or missing gear changes.
- Limp mode with a fixed gear.
- Incorrect gear indication.
