P06B2
PPowertrainSensor Power Supply A Circuit High
What does this code mean?
Severity : HighP06B2 indicates a high voltage on sensor power supply circuit A. The control module provides a reference voltage, usually 5 V, to several sensors (pressure, position and others). If this voltage is too high, every sensor fed by this circuit reports incorrect values.
Symptoms
- Check engine light on.
- Several sensor codes stored at the same time.
- Limp mode or loss of power.
- Possible hard start or stalling.
Possible causes
- 5 V reference circuit shorted to a higher voltage.
- Damaged harness chafing against a powered wire.
- Faulty sensor disturbing the supply line.
- Moisture in a connector.
- Faulty control module.
Diagnosis and repair
- Read all codes to list the sensors fed by circuit A.
- Measure the reference voltage with a multimeter, key on.
- Unplug sensors one at a time to see if the voltage returns to normal.
- Inspect the harness for a short, then repair it or replace the faulty sensor.
- Clear the codes and road test.
