What does this code mean?
Severity : MediumP2265 means the water in fuel sensor signal is outside its expected range or not plausible. This sensor, usually built into the diesel fuel filter, warns when water collects in the fuel. A false reading can hide real water contamination, which can harm the injection pump and injectors.
Symptoms
- Check engine light or water in fuel light on.
- Water warning stays on after draining the filter.
- No warning despite water in the filter.
- Rough running if water is actually present.
