Fuel Level Sensor B Circuit Low

What does this code mean?

Severity : Low

P2067 indicates low voltage on the fuel level sensor B circuit. Some tanks, especially saddle shaped ones, use two sensors to measure the level on each side. The module or instrument cluster receives a signal that is too low, often caused by a short to ground or a faulty sensor.

Symptoms

  • Check engine light on.
  • Incorrect fuel gauge, often stuck at empty.
  • Unjustified low fuel warning.
  • Implausible range display.

Possible causes

  • Faulty fuel level sensor B or worn track.
  • Wiring shorted to ground.
  • Corroded tank module connector.
  • Stuck or damaged float.
  • Instrument cluster or module fault, which is rare.

Diagnosis and repair

  • Inspect the tank module connector and wiring.
  • Read sensor B value in live data.
  • Measure sensor resistance with a multimeter at different levels.
  • Check the signal wire for a short to ground.
  • Replace the sensor or repair the wiring, then clear the code.
