What does this code mean?
Severity : LowP0467 relates to the fuel vapour recovery (EVAP) system. In its generic definition, it reports a low voltage on the purge flow sensor circuit. Some manufacturers also link it to a detected leak, such as a loose fuel cap. The exact meaning therefore depends on the manufacturer.
Symptoms
- Check engine light on.
- Possible fuel smell around the vehicle.
- Usually no driving symptoms.
- Possible emissions test failure.
Possible causes
- Loose or missing fuel cap, or damaged cap seal.
- Faulty purge flow sensor.
- Wiring shorted to ground or corroded connector.
- Cracked or disconnected vapour hose.
- Faulty purge valve.
Diagnosis and repair
- Make sure the fuel cap is fitted, tight and its seal is intact.
- Inspect the vapour hoses and fittings.
- Check the sensor connector, wiring and 5 V reference.
- Run a smoke test to find a leak if needed.
- Replace the faulty part, then clear the code and let the test run again.
