What does this code mean?
Severity : MediumP029E means the fuel trim for cylinder 2 has reached its maximum limit. The control module constantly adjusts the amount injected into each cylinder. If it has to add or remove the maximum allowed on cylinder 2 and still cannot balance it, a fault remains on that cylinder.
Symptoms
- Check engine light on.
- Rough idle.
- Possible misfires.
- Loss of power or higher fuel consumption.
Possible causes
- Dirty, worn or leaking cylinder 2 injector.
- Vacuum leak near cylinder 2.
- Low compression on cylinder 2.
- Damaged injector wiring or connector.
- Ignition problem on that cylinder.
